Contest Rules

1. You must be at least 13 years of age to enter this contest, and for those under the age of 18 have a parent consent.

2. To enter this contest you must register with Utah's Got Talent.

3. You must provide true, accurate, current and complete contact information, as requested by Utah's Got Talent, plus videotape a statement giving us permission to broadcast your video image and voice on the Internet.

4. You may be disqualified for false registration, or claims, misrepresentation that may be deemed to be “cheating.”

5. Each performance submitted must entirely be your original work. You may be disqualified for submitting any material for which you either do not solely own all worldwide copyright rights or have not obtained all necessary licenses, in proper form.

6. Collaborative work among co-contestants will be accepted, but all prizes will be awarded to the contestant whose name is associated Utah's Got Talent. Division of prizes among co-contestants is the sole responsibility of winners.

7. Entry files must be uploaded as an .flv, F4v, wmv, or .mp4 format. Utah's Got Talent is not responsible for any corrupt files you may submit. Any and all corrupt files will be deleted without notification to you.

8. All submissions to this contest must be fully submitted by 11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time on the final date of the contest.

9. Closing and announcement dates for this contest may change without notice to you. Such changes will, however, be posted on the Site at the contest’s page.

10. Your entries may be evaluated any time up to the contest closing date.

11. There are absolutely no registration fees.

12. Winners will be notified by email at the address provided, and must accept the terms of an online affidavit of eligibility/publicity release by joining a special winners group on the Site within seven (7) days after the date on such notification. The affidavit will state that the winner's song is an original work and that the winner holds all rights to the song or is a cover of a licensed song and is identified as such in the submission. Failure to join the group and thus acknowledging this affidavit within seven (7) days, or the provision of false/inaccurate information therein, will result in immediate disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Affidavits of winners under eighteen (18) years of age at the time of award must be accepted by the winner’s parent or legal guardian and proper contact information provided. Affidavits are subject to verification by Utah's Got Talent.

13. Utah's Got Talent may change these rules at any time, in Utah's Got Talent’s sole discretion, without notice to you.

14. Entering this contest does not grant you any right or license to use any Utah's Got Talent, its Partners’, Sponsors’ or Affiliates’ material (i.e. logos, images, text, etc.), trademarks or other intellectual property of Utah's Got Talent, its Partners, Sponsors or Affiliates, for any purpose, without Utah's Got Talent’s express written consent.

15. Employees of Utah's Got Talent, their sponsors, advertising agencies, affiliates, agents, representatives, and the families or households of the above are ineligible to enter or win all Utah's Got Talent contests.

16. The selection of winners by Utah's Got Talent and the judges, is final and can not be appealed.

17. Arrangements for receiving all prizes, unless otherwise specified, must be made five (5) days prior to the Event Date. It is the responsibility of the winners to claim prizes prior to the Event Date. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited, and Utah's Got Talent may award any unclaimed prize to a runner-up.

18. All prizes are non-transferable and void where prohibited by law. No cash substitution of prizes is allowed.

19. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will receive the prizes as set forth in the contest announcement. In the event a prize is not available due to circumstances beyond Utah's Got Talent’s control, Utah's Got Talent reserves the right to provide a substantially similar substitute prize that Utah's Got Talent deems to be of greater or equal value at a later date.

20. Winners understand and agree that they are solely responsible for any and all taxes, including but not limited to sales, income, or value added, incurred on prizes received, and for any and all duties, tariffs, or import fees that may be assessed upon receiving prizes.

21. Winners understand that they are solely responsible for any and all transportation to and from the Event and any and all accommodation that may be necessary.

22. Winners will be notified via email as registered with Utah's Got Talent. Failure to respond to the prize notification email within two (2) days disqualifies the winner and the prize may be awarded to another entrant.

23. All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that Utah's Got Talent has the right to publicize and broadcast any winner’s name, character, likeness, voice and all other matters incidental thereto.

24. This contest is void where prohibited.
